  • The Painted Lady is a beautifully restored historic home, and part of its charm is that it was built in a different era. With that comes features you won’t find in modern construction—steeper staircases, original layouts, and a few quirks that make the space feel truly lived in.

Because of this, the home is not childproofed. Entry requires navigating steps and uneven ground, and additional stairs lead to the bedrooms. The existing railings reflect the home’s historic character and are minimal in design; their height and structure are not intended to prevent falls by small children. We are also unable to install baby gates at the stairs.

Families are welcome, but we strongly recommend that guests with young children—especially those who require baby gates or fully childproofed environments—consider whether this space is the right fit.

Children must be actively supervised at all times while in the home and on the property.

If you have any questions, we’re always happy to talk it through and help you decide with confidence.
